Run at seven furlongs 1986-2005 and 2011-present. Run at six furlongs 1984-85 and 2006-10. Run in two divisions in 1986, 1994, and 1995. Run on the main track prior to 1987 and again in 1992. In 2013, the race was run on the main track due to inclement weather. Big Screen crossed the wire first but was disqualified and placed second for interfering with Souper Speedy in the stretch, who was placed first. In an interesting quirk, both horses involved in the inquiry were trained by Tom Albertrani. The race was made an Invitational to be run under allowance conditions for the 2014 edition.
