Security Policies

While the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival is temporarily relocated to Saratoga, the on-track policies will reflect many protocols ordinarily in place at Belmont Park. Accordingly, outside alcoholic beverages, pop-up tents and hand trucks will not be permitted inside the venue. However, fans attending this year’s event may carry in coolers containing food and non-alcoholic beverages to align with the time-honored tradition at Saratoga.

Permitted Items

Baby/diaper bags (Must contain childcare items and accompany a child)
Bags and purses no larger than 16" x 16" x 8"
Binoculars
Cell phones & tablets (Subject to screening)
Folding chairs (limit 1 per guest)
Seat cushions
Small cameras with detachable lenses 6" or less
Small cooler for medical purposes
Strollers (only if carrying a child)
Sunscreen
Umbrellas (personal size)

Permitted Food & Beverage

Coolers no larger than 12" x 18" containing food and non-alcoholic beverages (Limit 1 per adult; no trash bags, no glass)

Banned Items

Outside alcoholic beverages
Tables of any kind
Tents of any kind
Wagons, shopping carts, or hand trucks
Aerosol cans
Air horns/noise makers
Animals (except service animals)
Any device that may interfere with or distract any sport or event participant
Any flammable liquid
Backpacks
Bags larger than 16" x 16" x 8"
Cameras with detachable lenses larger than 6" in length
Cameras or other equipment designated for the sole purpose of video and/or audio recording
Confetti or glitter
Drones or radio-controlled aircraft
Fireworks
Glass/aluminum bottles
Grills/lighter fluid
Illegal drugs or substances
Laser lights/pointers
Poles, staffs, or sticks
Skateboards, Hover Boards or recreational vehicle devices (with the exception of ADA-approved devices)
Sports equipment (including balls of all kind and frisbees)
Tripods or other professional camera equipment
Weapons (including firearms/knives/mace/pepper spray)

There is no storage for any items. NYRA Security reserves the right to deny any patrons entry that could detract from the experience of other guests at Saratoga Race Course.
